Oven baked Hamburger Slider
If you like a Krystal or White Castle burger then you are going to love these Oven Baked Hamburger Sliders. This is the closest recipe I have found to the restaurant version. They are easy to prepare and taste great!
Ingredients:
1 to 2 pounds of ground beef/chuck
Minced onions (amount depends on how much you like.)
Season salt
12 package of rolls or slider buns
6 slices of America Cheese
8 x 12 pan or 9 x 13 pan depending on the amount of ground chuck you are using.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In the pan, sprinkle a thin layer of minced onions. I use a generous amount because it tastes more like the original Krystal / White Castle burger.
After that, spread out your ground beef/chuck on top of the minced onions.
Next, shake some season salt onto the ground beef/chuck. (Lightly sprinkle over the entire area of beef.). Then, put holes in the ground beef/chuck. You can use your finger, a straw or anything you have to do the job.
Put in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes for 1 to 1 & 1/2 pounds of beef. (Less time for less beef, more time for more beef.).
While the sliders are cooking, slice your rolls open if they are not pre-sliced. The type of rolls you use is a matter of taste. I typically get what is on sale.
Once the beef is done, take it out of oven and take a paper towel and blot up the grease that is on top. Once you have the grease up, put the slices of cheese on top.
After this, place the top of the roll or slider bun on top.
Next, slice beside each roll/bun.
Take each burger out Of the pan and add the bottom half. You are done. Krystal’s are topped with mustard and a pickle. I put it on the table (along with ketchup) and let everyone make their slider the way they want it.
